How much does Impulse Brain Training cost?
There isn't one answer, which is the point. Impulse's US App Store listing shows nine different in-app purchase prices — $6.99, $7.99, $15.99, $28.99, $39.99 and $49.99 for "Premium Access", a $29.49 special-offer year, and a weekly plan at $9.99. Which one you're shown depends on where you land in their funnel. Here's what that weekly plan actually costs:
That is the price of the weekly plan on Impulse's own App Store listing, multiplied by 52. Weekly billing is the oldest trick in subscription apps: the number looks small, and it renews before you notice.
Neuroo doesn't offer a weekly plan, because there is no version of it that's good for you. A full year of Neuroo Plus costs $49.99 — less than five weeks of Impulse's weekly plan.

The real difference
Impulse is enormous — 100+ games, IQ tests, personality quizzes, an endless feed of things to tap. That scale is the pitch, and it's also the problem: an app with no finish line is an app you can never actually complete, which is exactly the shape you want if your business model is a weekly renewal.
Neuroo is built the other way round. Three games, roughly three minutes, one number that goes up. You finish, you close the app, you come back tomorrow. The training only works if you show up repeatedly, so Neuroo is engineered to be easy to show up for rather than impossible to finish.
Neither app is a medical device, and neither should promise to raise your IQ or prevent cognitive decline. Neuroo doesn't — it promises quick games that get harder as you get better, and an honest score that reflects the work you put in.
